How do I add interviews to a community?

To add an interview to a community, you must first be a community member. You can find instructions for joining a community in the Help Center article below:

Once you’ve become a member, you can add any self-directed interviews that are published to archive.storycorps.org to the community. You can add your interviews to a community from either the StoryCorps App or archive.storycorps.org.

Please note: If the community is unmoderated, your interview will instantly be added. If the community is moderated, you will need to wait for a moderator to approve your interview submission.

Submitting an interview to a community while publishing from the app

While recording and publishing an interview recorded with the StoryCorps App, you can add your interview to any communities you are a member of. When prompted, select the communities you want to add your interview to, then proceed with publishing your interview by pressing the Continue button.

Submitting a previously published interview to a community from the app

You can also submit an interview to a community after it has been published by following the instructions below.

  1. Log in to your archive.storycorps.org account.
  2. Go to your Profile and select Interviews.
  3. Select the interview you want to add to a community.
  4. Select the three dots in the upper-right corner of the interview page, and then choose the Add to Community option from the dropdown menu.
  5. Tap the box next to the communities you want to add your interview to. When you are finished, press the red Update button.

Submitting an interview to a community from archive.storycorps.org:

  1. Log in to your account on archive.storycorps.org.
  2. Click your profile photo in the upper-right corner of the screen, and then select My Interviews & Profile from the drop-down menu.
  3. Select the interview you would like to submit to a community.
  4. On the interview page, select Add to Community.
  5. Select the community you want to add your interview to from the dropdown menu.

9 STEPS

1 The first step is to log in to archive.storycorps.org and click your profile image

2 Click View Profile

3 Scroll down to the interview you'd like to edit and click the interview image

4 Scroll down and click Edit Interview

5 Scroll down to the bottom and fine the section that says "Add Your Interview To A Community."
Select the community you'd like to add your interview to.

6 Click Save & Archive

7 You're done! You should be sent back to your profile page.

To see your interview in the community click Communities from your profile page.

8 Click Visit

9 Scroll down. You should see your interview listed in the community.

Keep in mind that if the community is moderated your interview will not appear until it has been approved.
