What is a community?

Communities are a way for archive.storycorps.org users to collect and share their published interviews with a group of people that have a shared interest or something in common; from friends and family to classmates and colleagues to strangers who want to share stories about hiking! Your community acts as a landing page where you and the members of your community can easily share your interviews with others in your community.

Anyone with an archive.storycorps.org account can create a community and invite other archive users to join communities they own as well as join and submit interviews to an existing community. You can customize your community page with an image and description as well as links to your website and social media pages.

There are two settings that differentiate between the different types of communities on archive.storycorps.org; moderations settings and visibility settings. You can read more about community moderation settings and privacy settings in the Help Center articles below.
