Is there a minimum age for participating in The Great Thanksgiving Listen?

Yes, under the Terms of Use for the StoryCorps App and StoryCorps Connect, no one under the age of 13 is permitted to use the app. Parental consent is required for any users between the age of 13 and 17. This consent is given electronically at the time the user and parent create an account and agree to the Terms of Use.

We developed our Teacher Toolkit with high school students in mind, but teachers of younger students have adapted our toolkit to use in their classrooms as well. We encourage everyone to participate by sitting down and having a conversation with someone they know even if you don't use the app to record.
