Can I upload interview audio directly to archive.storycorps.org without the app?

1 The first step is to log in to archive.storycorps.org and then click your profile image in the top right corner

2 Click Add a new interview

3 To add your audio, click Select Files and select the audio file from your computer

4 The audio file you selected should appear below.

5 If you have an image for this interview, click select files again and select the image from your computer

6 The image file that you selected should also appear below.

7 Now that your audio and image are selected, click Upload

8 Scroll down and complete the required fields.
The first is the title of your interview.

9 Next enter a Summary or Description of your Interview

10 Next, we'll add participants. Scroll down and enter a First Name

11 Then enter their Last Name

12 Email Address is optional.
Once you've entered their information, click Add Participant

13 Now, you need to tag your interview.

At least one general keyword is required but you can enter keywords to indicate the languages used in your interview, the people or places discussed in your interview and more.

14 Next, enter your recording location. Your street address is optional, but please provide a city, state/province, and country.

15 Now, you must select your privacy settings for this interview.

16 If you are a member of a community, you can select for this interview to be submitted to a community.

17 When you are done, click Save & Archive on the left.

18 You did it!
Your interview will now appear on your profile page.

19 It will be marked as pending for a brief time while the audio is transcoded. This typically takes a few minutes, but can take up to 24 hours.

Be sure to check back tomorrow and listen to your interview to ensure it transcoded properly.
